The following photos were taken at the 2nd Alarm fire at # 42 Browning Road on September 4th.  Group 4 was working.

Box 291 was struck on October 16, 2009 (Group 2 working) for a building fire at 14 Horace Street. Firefighters arrived to find a 1 1/2 story warehouse on the Harding Street side of the property heavily charged with smoke with fire showing from the "C-D" corner of the building and extending into the roof area. Firefighters forced entry into the building and an aggressive interior attack confined the fire to this area of the building. The box was transmitted at 1605 hrs followed by a Second Alarm on orders of D/C Lucia at 1612 hours.  (Photos below by Capt. Charlie Breen)

Members of Group 3 responded to a serious motor vehicle crash at the corner of Mystic Avenue and Shore Drive on the morning of March 24th, 2009.  A pick-up truck travelling at a high rate of speed from Shore Drive crashed into another car on Mystic Avenue.  The driver of the pick-up truck was badly injured in the crash and the crews of Engines 1 and 2 and Ladder 2 used the Jaws of Life to extricate him.  (Photos by Michael Layhe Sr.)


 

Members of Group 3 responded to a Working Fire at 214 Highland Avenue on the evening of January 26, 2009. The fire heavily damaged a first floor kitchen and caused extensive smoke damage to all floors.  (Photos below by Senior Fire Alarm Operator Jim Swanton)
